Her love for flowers started in her early 20’s inspired by all the flowers at Pike Place market in Seattle. Her passion for flowers grew from that moment. The next 25 years, Maria worked in the event industry in the DC Metro area. Her experience working in luxury hotels and exclusive private clubs ranged from catering, event planning, wedding & event design.

It’s been a 30-year dream for Maria to open her flower shop and it finally happened. Maria planted roots in West Seattle. Her passion and never-ending love for flowers shows in her design style and flair.

Lily and the Bee include a personal touch with all clients and events. Her designs, color selections and style are in the now complimenting current floral arranging trends.
